Why I Believe.

Before Christ I was self confident and did not see a need to be saved.

I was able to see my brothers life, his problems ranging from drinking to relationship troubles, and in comparison, I was in no need of salvation, but he was.

After watching life changing moments in my brothers life I started to listen more when people spoke of the saving grace of Jesus. After learning the real meaning and why all people need salvation, I decided to follow Christ.

Now I have the assurance that I will be in heaven, I now put more confidence in Christ and less in my own abilities.

There are not any big "wow" moments to illustrate this change, it has been an ongoing transformation from self to selflessness and trusting God and thanking him for the blessings in my life and the peace only he brings.

Once the gospel was shared and I responded to it, it was not difficult to understand or realize, that trusting Christ was the only way to heaven. Knowing that was a great relief, now I would not just "hope" that I measured up.
