Why Fit in When You Were Made to Stand Out?

Having eternal life has given me joy and peace that this world wasn't able to.

There have been times in my life that people pushed me away and made me feel like I was less than because I was a Christian. Because of this, I had friends that I shouldn't have had just to feel like I was fitting in. When I tried to act like the world, all I got out of it was hurt and a sense of helplessness. When I ran to God with these problems of wanting to fit in, He reminded me that I was never meant to fit into this world. We are called to stand out! When I came to realize this truth, He gave me friendships I would have never dreamed of and made me feel a sense of acceptance in a world that was full of rejection.

Since the day I started finding my worth in Christ instead of the world I haven't felt the need to fit into the crowd. God so graciously reminds me that I am His child and that I was made to stand out for His glory. He has given me such peace in my walk with Him, and I wouldn't trade it for anything this world could offer. Our walk with Christ was never meant to be easy, the Bible tells that, but God also reminds us that it will all be worth it! There are going to be times that we would just rather fit in, but why blend in when you could stand out for God's glory?
