When Peace Came

I thought being a regular Church goer was salvation, but was having a hard time understanding the things of God.

I was raised in Church and so I thought I was ok with God. I went in the military and when I got out of the military, within a couple of years I started back to Church with my children. They needed to go to church so they could be ok with God. About the third or forth week of returning to my home church, I was ask to fill out a visitors card. I did and requested a visit from the pastor. On January 21, 1999 on a Thursday night the pastor and his wife came to our home and told my wife and I about something we had never really grasped. The plan of Salvation. She and I both excepted Christ that night. This brought about a zeal to know more about God and I began to read and study and the Bible began to make since.

Then the pastor shared how I could have eternal life.

Now that I have eternal life the things of God make since and I can accept things I don't or did not understand.

I use to have lots of fears, like dying in a car wreck or on the job. But now I have total peace about dying because I know I have eternal life.

I know now and understand the promises if Gods word, and I am 100% certain if I died right now that I would have eternal life and would spend it in Heaven.
