When my faith and relationship with God truly became my own.

I'm glad I have eternal life because it reminds me that my life on earth should eternity focused not earthly focused. Earth is not my home, Heaven is.

Example: The turning point in my faith that reminded my life is not about me and my desires, it's about serving God and serving others, was a missions trip with my youth group at Crossroads to Mexico as an 8th grader. After serving at the church site our church was assigned to, we headed back to our chapel time that was put on by Azuza Pacific University. After the message and worship time, I significantly remember how God spoke to me and started to guide me to my own faith in Him, not just the faith of my parents, and how this unconditional love we are sharing with these people in Mexico is the type of love I need to show in my daily life. Understanding how His love is the example of grace and unconditional love in that moment changed deepened my relationship with the Lord in a new way.

How God spoke to me that day still reminds me that my life should always be on mission for others to know of Him. A good friend of mine's "life mission statement" is "Know God and make Him known" which epitomizes the 2 greatest commandments, Love God and Love others. I consider that my ultimate life mission statement myself. I'm not perfect at this but through God's grace and mercy, He reminds me of what my mission in life should always be.
