When God reveals Himself to you, your life is never the same!
Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.” - Matthew 16:15-17 - “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” Jesus in - John 17:3
Before God blessed me to know Him I was hopeless.
Before I knew of God's reality, I escaped reality without Him through drugs and alcohol.
When I was 12 years old I climbed a tree in my backyard and asked God, "If you're real show me. I'm giving you five minutes." Then checked my watch and when five minutes were up, He hadn't shown me anything to know that He's real. I had enough heartache so I gave up on trying to know Him and stopped going to church. If anyone tried to tell me about Jesus I cursed them out using the F-word. However, God answered my prayer 10 years later in a split second when I was 22, hopeless and as usual was not in my plans to look for Him.
God blessed me in an instant by implanting a gift of faith within me to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He is real.
Over and over again I said to myself, "God is real. God is real. My life will never be the same. My life will never be the same." And to this day about 33 years later, it's true, my life has never been the same since that day. My life changed on a dime and everyone who knew me knew something happened to me. I went from hopeless, to an exciting life, like a blind person given sight. I began reading the Bible again, but now God's Holy Spirit reads the Bible with me and impresses on my mind the spiritual meaning to the natural stories like I had never seen before!
All that this world could possibly offer doesn't compare in the slightest with the joy of new life born within people to whom God supernaturally reveals Himself.
