Unconditional Love

Before I received eternal life, I was looking for love in all the wrong places.

I used to go to the bars, drink alot, go home with men I didn't even know. I used drugs and alcohol to help me cover or push down my fear of being rejected or unloved. I allowed myself to be used by men because all I wanted was for somebody to love me for who I was.

Then my husband (who had just had an extramarital affair on me) and I started going to church and hearing about eternal life. After a couple of months of hearing about eternal life, I found the love I was looking for.

Now that I have eternal life, I know I am loved unconditionally. I have peace about that love.

I no longer use drugs or alcohol to hide behind or to deaden the pain. I have been married to the same man faithfully for over 20 years now. I don't have to perform or do something to merit that love. I am loved no matter what I do, or don't do.

But the best thing about this unconditional love, is that I will experience it forever and ever, even after I die, because I will be in heaven.
