Trust Him!
When life throws a curve, I know to look with anticipation for what God has in store.
I am glad I know that I have eternal life because no matter what happens I know that God is working everything for my good.
The last few years I’ve experienced a number of life’s upheavals. One was the loss of a job after 17 ½ years. I loved my job and it was fairly specialized and not easy to come by in a good job market let alone a down market. On top of that, I was providing a home and security for my elderly father who was declining and living with me after the death of my mom. Yet, the day I lost my job, I remember thinking, “Trust Him,” and I walked to my car saying, out loud, “I trust You, Lord.” I could say that because I knew that none of this was a surprise to God. He knew all my circumstances and I knew that even this disappointment was part of His plan.
Life will have disappointments, upheavals and pain, but there is a peace and sense of security that comes with knowing that God is in control and that I can trust Him to bring me all the way to Heaven someday.
