Traveling Without a Map

Before I received the gift of eternal life I had no direction in my life.

I had not yet chosen a major in college, and there was nothing I was really passionate about. I enjoyed my life, but I was not focused. I felt like I was traveling without a road map! I remember one time I was sitting at one of my part time jobs, thinking about my future. I really had no idea what I was going to do, and even worse, I didn’t care! All I really cared about was hanging out with my friends and having fun. I remember longing for something bigger than myself to be passionate about.

Then I received the gift of eternal life.

Soon, I began to notice changes in my way of thinking.

Some changes were small, some more noticeable. I chose a major in college and decided to pursue education. I focused on learning how to be an effective witness and share my story with others. I became passionate about music and worship leading. At the center of my focus was God. I came to realize that the direction that I needed came from Him.

And no matter what happens in life, I know that God is always with me and that someday I will be with Him in Heaven.
