Traded my Fear for faith in God

Before I got Born again, I was fearful, timid, full of anxiety and worry about my future. Negative taught flooded my mind about how nothing good will happen o me, how I will not see my mother who was separated from me due to a civil war in my country for over 13 years. I was angry with my father whine I did not meet u til I was 17 years old.

After I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior, all this changed. I now found a better way to deal with my emotion and anxiety about the future because I now knew what Gos says about my future and that the plans he has for me are that of good and not evil. My mind was transformed and I began to have hope that I will see my mother again and I forgave my father and begin to love him. I did not feel the shame I felt that nobody loves me due to me not knowing my father.

I learned God’s word about who he says I am and what he said and have the power to do and that settled it for me. My mind was transformed and I began to think on the good things that Gos has promised me like peace of mind, joy in my heart, hope for the future, most importantly, life for evermore with him.

I no longer have fear about my future. I know how to recognize thoughts that are not of God and use the word of God to get rid of bad thoughts. I have peace about who I am and where I will be after death.

One time I was having a panic attack about something I was worried about, I immediately remembered Philippians 4:8 and I began to quote it. God instantly gave me peace in that moment and reminded me I have authority over everything. Since that time, I have never had a panic attach again.

I am grateful for all the things God has done in my life here on earth and continues to do but the one thing that give me peace is that I know for sure that because I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I can be with him forever after my life here on Earth.
