Tony Testimony of Finding Peace and Fulfillment
Trying to live while hiding shame, guilt and regret slowly drag me down. Sure we all make mistakes but knowing I was truly forgiven freed me...lifted the weight off my shoulders. Accepting the free gift of eternal life allowed me have hope. Knowing these things in my heart allowed me to truly love my wife and family to the fullest. Jesus asks us to love our brothers and sisters. Obeying this is a win-win-win situation, Jesus is happy, the folks we bless are happy, and we discover life to the fullest!
I lived my life with a lot of regret.
I made a lot of bad decisions... I even ended up in jail. I found myself separated from my family.
Now that I know that I have a relationship with God, and that He has forgiven me, I feel freedom from guilt and shame. Like a burden is lifted and I am able to focus and move forward im my lifel now with the knowledge that I have eternal life.
This freedom I feel reflects in my actions and allows me to live life in the fullest. Striving to love others and support my brothers and sisters makes me feel good inside and afterwards doesn't feel like a burden. Learning how to truly love my wife and family.
I believe God puts me in places at the perfect time. One Saturday morning at a food bank in my neighborhood I saw a couple sitting on a curb just sobbing and hurting real bad. So I went over and struck up a conversation when I realized they need to know Jesus loves them and that He is with them. We prayed right then and there. We are good friends to this day and having them trust in me as family gives me a deep deep feeling of fullness.
So living this life to the fullest is what God offers us. But not only this life here and now, but with Him forever. I believe living life to the fullest is a precursor to living life to the fullest in Heaven.
