Tom's Story

Before receiving Jesus Christ as my personal savior I was full of anger, emptiness and regrets. This made me self-centered and I was only concerned about my fleshly desires.

Once I realized I needed God and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior and fully gave my life over to him I found contentment and inner peace, hope and a sense of fulfillment.

I thought I could live as I want to, in man's world. This was a huge mistake on my part. Once I realized I need to fully turn my life over to God and live in his world is when my life changed for the better.

Once I made God as my first priority my life has changed for the better. I now can look to him for guidance and wisdom instead of thinking I can do this on my own.

The Holy Spirit came over me one day while I was sitting and spoke to my heart like a thunder bolt, he asked me "what are you doing living in man's world" I realized right then that I needed Him in my life every minute of every day and that he had the answers to my problems and I could not do it alone.

Now that I live a Spirit Filled Life I have found inner peace, no longer angry with my past, learned how to forgive others who have hurt me. As I read His word, my faith has gotten stronger because of this. Romans 8:5-6 hit me like a ton of bricks it says "For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace."
