This is my testimony
God's love in giving me a heart and compassion those who need help
Knowing that I, a sinner, have eternal life in the hands of Jesus has given me a humble perspective of God's love.
I have had a heart for young adults in the late high school/college range. There was a friend who I had been working with for a long time about going to college. We met weekly for accountability and worked to help out his financial situation. He and I drove to a neighboring state to register on campus and meet his professors. I could see his struggles, and his family was not helping him reach his goals. God had blessed me with a great family, and God gave me the opportunity to be there for him when many would not. A few years ago I was on a mission trip in Mexico. One day we made a trip to a male juvenile detention center. We had a lot of scared young woman translators with us, and I was surrounded by a large group of 40-50 juveniles. When I looked at them, I wasn't scared. I looked at them and I saw boys who were slaves to broken hearts. My heart went out to them. As I spoke them about Jesus and what a heavenly Father is like. It was my hope that their hearts would be filled up as much as mine is.
Because God has filled my heart and taught me many lessons of love that I know, and believe in what God's Word says that, "God so Loved the world that He gave His One and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." I know this to be true for myself. If it is true for me, it is true for the whole world.
