This is my story
We may take something that's not ours or tell a lie. We fill ashamed and guilty. We ask for forgiveness and God will forgive.
I was raised going to church and I felt guilt and shame for not always doing the right thing.
When I was little I was in a store and I picked up a little car and put it in my pocket. One of the store employees saw me and as Mom and Dad were checking out the employee came up and asked me about the toy in my pocket. I pulled it out and gave it to him. My mom and dad were so upset with me for not asking to buy the toy and I got a whipping when I got outside the story. My mom and dad were so embarrassed by what I had done. I was so ashamed because I had made mom and dad fell so bad.
I had listened in Sunday school to the teachers, then one Sunday night I felt convicted during the preachers sermon. I went up and asked him to help me to accept Jesus as my savior. I felt so relieved and forgiven.
Now I don't feel the shame and guilt and I know God loves me and that when I make a mistake I ask for his forgiveness and he will forgive me.
I fell off the back of a truck one night when I was out running around with some of my friends. I scraped up my knees. When I got home I told mom and dad I fell down at the skating rink. I felt so bad about lieing to them. I finally told them the truth. I felt so much better. Then I asked God to forgive me and he did.
I know that God has forgiven me for my sins. I know that I accepted Jesus as my savior, and that I will go to heaven when I die.
