This is my story. May it help you write your own.
The need for us to have a Spirit filled soul is critical if we are to truly experience life as our creator intended it to be.
Most definitely I went from constant worries & severe anxiety to an inner peace like no other.
I had suffered for years with one illness after another. I was tested for everything but found just enough to keep on being tested. Finally the doctors said, go home, we are going to test you to death in the process of trying to find out what is wrong. I finally got to that point where my pains & fears brought me to my knees and I gave it all over to the Lord. Either take me right now or if I am to live I will live for you. An amazing transformation and now I serve Him daily through Acts 1:8 Ministry where I can passionately share with Christians around the world a free kindness program that will help them share God's love with everyone in their community!
I already knew God from my childhood, but life in the secular world convinced me to go it on my own. I am strong and in control. Through my suffering I learned that I am nothing without the Lord. After my pain was lifted from me I poured out my heart & soul to God and promised Him that I would dedicate the rest of my life, however long that might be, to sharing my testimony with everyone I can. Being involved with a Ministry that is all about sharing God's love with all others through doing acts of kindness and freely giving that to Christians around the world I see God come alive and do miracles every time we do a Planned Acts of Christian Kindness (P.A.C.K.). So I now live it on a daily basis!
I have been given life and vision through the Holy Spirit. To see the world from God's perspective. To see clearly why God gave us His words in the Scriptures, why He sent His Son to bring "God alive" within us, along with a true peace, comfort & joy because of what Jesus did for us, and God sent His Spirit to be our guide & companion down the path of life that leads to our Father in Heaven. It becomes so obvious how the sins we now embrace bring about the pain & suffering that we are now constantly trying to ease using our own methods.
I can see how powerful and loving our God is when we decide to make Him the centerpiece of our lives. Countless "God moments" have and continue to occur during our Planned Acts of Christian Kindness events. One recent example was when our group headed out to give away $2 bills to everyone who came to get gas at a local station. The idea being to ease their gas price woes and remind them that Jesus wants to ease their daily walk woes. The very first person that I headed to was a young 20's something mom that looked like life was going great. That was until I reached out and blessed her with 2 $2 bills, one for her son and one for her. I told her that God loves her and just like His grace the $2 bills were a gift that cannot be bought or earned. She immediately went to tears and when I asked her what was on her heart she stated "I am scared to death!" Why? I am homeless for the first time. I just got evicted and I needed gas to go somewhere , but I don't know where that is yet. She had two more children in car seats in the back along with everything she owned. We prayed and I blessed her with 2 more $2 bills for her children. I handed her the sharing card that told her of God's love for her and on the inside was our church information, pastors contact info, map, etc. I told her to go and get the food she needed from our food pantry and to talk with our pastor about getting the help she needed. God made it clear who was in charge that day. I may have planned to be there months in advance using the P.A.C.K. program, but God used us to do His will without a doubt. The very first person (which if I would have been a minute later I would have missed), and the very first stop for her in her time of desperation! Coincidence? No way!
Through my own healing as well as the constant show of His power in my everyday life I am left with no doubt that God is real, He is with us right now and will be forevermore.
