The Testimony of Garrett Rodden
My story is one of hope and a new life. I was able to find joy in Jesus during a time where I didn’t think I’d be able to continue going on. Jesus loves you!
I’m so thankful for Christ’s sacrifice so that I may have eternal life because it gives me a purpose in life and a hope for a future. It has provided me with undeniable joy even in my struggles and anxieties. Jesus fulfills me each and every day!
When I was 10 years old, my twin brother had passed away. We had lived our entire lives together up until that point. Shortly after, my parents divorced and had completely shattered the family structure I had been used to my entire childhood. For a ten year old boy, this was his entire life he’d known doing a complete shift. I had struggled with depression and anxiety that still lingers to this day. To the point where I can recall moments where I’d seriously consider ending my own life. But ever since I had turned my life over to Jesus, I found a reason to go on. Jesus gives me purpose in life and a hope that tomorrow I will still be here because he has taken away my pain and continues to do so.
This hope I have in Jesus not only affects how I live my life today, but also my eternal life when I one day die. Because of this faith I have in Jesus, I know I will be at the foot of God the Father, praising him for setting me free from my pain.
