The meaning of life.
From idolizing brains to loving God.
Before God gave me eternal life, I felt empty and that my life was pointless. I had no close friends or close relationships with anyone.
I always saw myself as becoming a scientist and learning all there was to know. I thought that would give purpose and meaning to my life. But the dominant philosophy of those teaching the sciences today is that life is pointless and worthless. They think everything is the result of random chance. They tell us that there is no God and there is nothing for us after death.
After I was married but before I graduated college, someone shared with me how to receive eternal life.
Now I really and truly know that, in knowing God, my life has purpose and meaning.
I began to understand real science is uncovering God’s truths about the world He has given us and that it should fill us with gratitude to and love for Him. God wants us to learn not only facts and figures, but most importantly He wants us to learn to love Him and to travel with Him through our lives. God has a purpose for each of our lives and those lives will not be wasted or end with our physical deaths. Now I have peace in my heart and am content with this life that God has given me. I know that I’m not missing out on some “better” life I could have lived.
And I know now that this great life I am enjoying with God will last forever. If I were to drop dead today, I know that I would go to be with God.
