The Joy of Finding Christ
After many frustrating years of trying to work for salvation, I realized that Christ did all that was needed, an I placed my faith in Him and my life in His hands.
Before I truly put my faith and trust in Christ, I was trying to attain salvation by trying to be good and by doing good works, but always falling short no matter how hard I tried.
As a Minister's son, I was in church most of my life and worked diligently at anything I was asked to do, but never had a complete peace or an assurance of salvation.
Thankfully, after total frustration of trying to be saved by my own merit, I realized Christ did everything necessary for salvation, and I put my faith in Him.
After putting my faith in Christ, a relationship with Him began that has given me the peace, assurance, and forgiveness that was so desperately needed.
My prayer life, Bible study, attitudes, motives, and entire life began to be transformed.
I know that Christ is helping me daily to be more of what He created me to be, and one day I will go to be with Him in Heaven forever.
