The Importance of Knowing Jesus
I don't know what my life would be like today if I had not been taught the love of God and been shown it by my parents. I am grateful to God that He gave me to a family that would be persistent and intentional in teaching me the truth of God's Word and how to live my life based on that rather than what the world sees as important and meaningful. My purpose now is to pass that truth on to my child and to others so they can also live a life of peace and have a future with hope.
I'm glad I have eternal life because it gives me confidence and security in my future as well as guiding my purpose in life knowing that this life is not all there is.
I am so thankful that I can navigate the confusion and pressures of life with peace rather than fear because I know who is in control of all things. Politics, hardships, and opinions of others don't affect me the way they do others because I have experienced the grace of God in shielding me from the fear of those things. Living my life to please God is more important to me than what others may say or think.
No matter what situation I may face in this life, whether it is illness or death of a loved one or financial difficulties, even difficult relationships, I can deal with each one knowing that God's grace will see me through it, that He has a purpose in it to build my character and make me more like Jesus, and that I will be with Him forever when my life here is completed.
