The Grace of God
God used my trial to help me grow spiritually, and helped me mature and become more like Jesus Christ.
I’m glad I have eternal life because I have assurance of heaven with God.
I grew up as a Christian ever since I knew myself and my walk with God has continued to grow throughout the years. As a newborn care specialist I am experienced in newborns and their physical and emotional development, safety, nutrition, general care, and illnesses. In 2020, I was hired to work with an Indian family. Upon arriving at their home, I noticed a large shrine that was setup for their gods. During my time there, they would play their Hindu music, feed, and worship their gods. I had never experienced anything like this before and I felt very uncomfortable. Additionally, the client didn’t want to take my advice and was being very difficult and sarcastic at times. I remember one instance we were all sitting together and they started speaking in Hindi. This was very frustrating to say the least. I began to question whether I should walk away from this position. But it wasn’t that easy to do. During 2020, I had lost 2 clients as a result of the pandemic and I was home for 2.5 months without income. However, I had to listen to what God was saying to me in that moment. In my time of prayer and fasting, I was reminded by God that Daniel and the three Hebrew boys were in same position. And my God is bigger than any idol. He who lives in me is greater than what’s in them. I continued to remain prayerful, praying for the mom who I realized was dealing with deep postpartum depression. Eventually, things started shifting in my favor. There was no longer any disrespect or opposition but they were listening to my advice and were very kind to me. I surprisingly received a raised as well. So in the midst of this heavy frustration instead of becoming bitter or angry I allowed the Holy Spirit to take full control because I know the Bible says according to Romans 8:28, that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. The word of God says we have this treasure in earthen vessels so I believed that the treasure is God’s power and His anointing.
When I think of these promises even though I may not feel it in that moment of testing I know the grace of God is upon my life and it’s because of that grace and anointing I was able to endure and overcome. I have purposed in my heart that what God has given me no devil is going to wrestle it out of me. I will continue to trust in God and His prophetic words over my life because God is not man that he should lie. He honors his word above His own name.
