The Gift of Eternal Life

Before I received the gift of eternal life I had no real purpose for my life. I had no motivation beyond merely existing.

For example the approach I took towards my education was just an average one; I basically showed up for class, being on-time was also okay but I only did enough school work to not be kicked out. I had no motivation for success.

Then, one Sunday evening as I routinely attended a church meeting, I learnt that Jesus died for my sins and was raised to provide eternal life for me as a gift. I responded to this news and received the gift of eternal life.

Since receiving the gift of eternal life, I have found real motivation for understanding God's purpose for my life and have become very focussed on accomplish His purpose for my life, with His help. I am now highly motivated. As a result, my failures in my educational life in the years when I had no purpose have been turned around, as, since I received the gift of eternal life, I have gone back and worked, purposefully at my studies, with great motivation and have achieved success at different levels.

And yes, I have had some failures in my pursuits that have caused me to be working doubly hard at educational goals that I have been motivated to achieve. However, even amidst these failures, the greatest thing for me is that I know for sure that whatever happens, I have eternal life with God through Jesus Christ.

Additonally, and greatest of all, I know for sure that when I die, I will spend eternity with God.
