The Day God's Love Captured Me

Before I received eternal life, I was filled with guilt and shame for things that I had done that hurt my wife and children.

I remember feeling angry and empty inside and tried to fill the emptiness with alcohol and other mood-altering substances.

The day I discovered the love of God was the very day that I had decided to end my life. I will never forget the power of His love as it drew me away from self-destruction toward finding my life and purpose in Him. That day my life changed as hope took the place of despair.

God's love transformed me into a man who cherishes his wife and family. I am now free to share God's love with no fear of rejection.

As I became involved in a local church, I discovered that teaching came very easy to me. This was something that I had never considered and certainly had felt no desire to do. As God developed that gift within me, I grew more confident and found that I enjoyed teaching very much. Now I teach middle and high school history in a Christian academy. Every day I have multiple opportunities to "pass it forward" by sharing God's love with kids who are trying to find their way in a very confusing world.

I know that Jesus is my Redeemer and that He lives and has paid the price for all of my sins. Because of His precious gift of love, I know that Heaven is real and that I have eternal life!
