Testimony

Eternity is something you can count on, but in its infinite inevitability I don’t find worry or fear, because I know I’ll be spending it in the absolute best place.

God in His great and loving mercy has saved me in so many ways, figuratively and literally, and in this specific instance it was literal and life-changing. When I was 13 I lost both my grandparents, who I was immensely close with, to Covid-19 in the span of a week. I had never experienced loss, and didn’t know how to cope. At this point in my life I had made my faith my own, and I cried out to God, asking for peace, a sign, anything to know I wasn’t alone. There in the mess of my grief He met me, and gave me the strength to see I wasn’t alone at all, but He was with me always, and had placed around me a loving, God-centered community who I could reach out to and fellowship with. While I still miss my grandparents I rejoice knowing they are with Him, and find peace in knowing I’ll be with them again in His Kingdom.

The Lord has never once changed, and I know He never will. In this ever-changing world people come and go like the tide, but God will always be with you, no matter the circumstance or how lost you feel. This world and its faults and temptations are (thankfully!) only temporary, but the Lord and His Kingdom are forever.
