Ted's Testimony
God's plan is so much better than mine.
I'm glad I have eternal life because it means that I gave everything over to God and have full trust is God's plan, not my own.
God's plan is certainly much better than my plan. Right after I graduated from college, I took a decent job pretty close to where my parents lived and bought an engagement ring for my then girlfriend (now wife). 2 days after I bought the ring my company downsized and I was a victim of the "first in, first out" process. This was such a humbling experience. Since my plans for the future were turned upside down, I had to trust in God's plan. God has led me to a better, more enjoyable job than I could ever imagine in a city I never would have picked on my own. If God's plan over such small things as a job is so great, I find a lot of comfort in trusting in his eternal plan.
Seeing how God has orchestrated my life up until now gives me the confidence that He will not stop until his perfect work is finished. It's such a comfort to know that my future doesn't rest on me, but on the Creator of this world.
