Surely His goodness and mercy follows me all the days of my life

I am glad I have eternal life due to the unfailing love of the Father. He gave His son Jesus Christ for my sins to be washed away on the cross. I know I am loved and forgiven. This truth gives me inner peace.

I recall those days when I used to live in fear that was not easy to talk about because even myself I could not understand. I used to be scared of the night, when the night comes I did not want to be alone. Started by fear of the night escalated to fear of being alone even day time. It was as if there was someone out there waiting to harm me. It felt like someone was following me wherever I go but for wrong reasons. At night I was scared to open my eyes in the dark or sleep without a blanket. No matter how hot it was I had to have a blanket on, specially covering my legs. I knew Ps 23 well because we would recite it at school over and over again but it never had any impact. One day I opened my heart to Jesus Christ. I allowed Jesus to live in me. I had an understanding of the Lord's Word (Ps 23). Started praying that prayer with belief. Since then I received peace within me. I knew that goodness and mercy follows me all the time. Today I do not fear when I am alone in the house or even to walk around the house at night with lights off. I know I am loved and protected.

I know without a doubt that God is always with me and has a purpose for my life. I am not hear by mistake, He cares for me. Jesus nailed all my weaknesses on the cross. I am FREE!!!! Even if I were to die today I know I have a place in heaven. Jesus purchased a place for me
