spiritual direction as a child

I'm glad I know I'm going to heaven when I die. God has given me such a sense of spiritual direction in my life.

I was sitting in my backyard one day wishing I had hummingbirds at my feeder because it had been empty for months. So I prayed " Lord, This is silly, but I would really like to see some hummingbirds at my feeder. I had no sooner said those words and there were several little birds flocking around the feeder. It was so good to know that God was listening and that was his will also. But there are other times, like when I pray that my wife would be healed that he did not answer the way I wanted but I still had complete peace because I know he is will a sovereign.

The piece that God has given me is something I experience every day of my life. I'm so glad to know that when I die. I'm going to heaven.
