Six or eighty, the gift is the same.
Salvation does not require vast Bible knowledge or an emotional act. Whether 6 or 80, the same gift of eternal life is made available for anyone who truly desires that relationship with God through Jesus.
I am glad I have eternal life because it gives me hope for the future, and assures me of God's unconditional love.
I never had that dramatic moment when I went from being a worldly person, because I was only 6 years old when I knew and accepted the gift of love and eternal life that Jesus offered to me. There were various moments in my life where I certainly had the opportunity and encouragement from my friends and co-workers to make bad life decisions. But, because of the spirit of God that lives within me, I never had to struggle with avoiding those decisions. It was just built within my nature to avoid them.
There were times as I was growing to adulthood that I wondered if that commitment that I made at 6 years old was really real. But when I was in my mid 20's someone showed me how I could know for certain that I had eternal life. I know now that what I experienced at age 6 was real, but I was grateful to the one who guided me through some scriptures to help me have that assurance.
Your testimony matters too
