Sinner saved by grace
Looking for love in all the wrong places.
Before I received eternal life, my life was empty with no purpose.
I remember seeking after all the pleasures of this world: career success, partying, relationships with men. I remember one year receiving a bonus at work that was more than some people made in a year. I was expecting to feel so fulfilled and happy, but instead felt empty inside and began to wonder if there was something more to life.
My older brother, a former atheist had come into a personal relationship with Jesus, and I soon became envious of the peace and joy he had found. I went to a non-demoninational church for 6 months and I ended up accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and savior of my life.
Once starting a relationship with Christ, I discovered a purpose in life that was worth living for. I had a new sense of peace knowing that I no longer had to chase after the things of this world trying to fabricate happiness, but instead could live to glorify God and him alone.
After the Holy Spirit convicted me that my life's purpose was to glorify God, I was able to give up many past sinful behaviors that I had relied on for comfort and happiness (ex. drinking, promiscuity, cursing, etc).
Most of all, I no longer fear death because the Bible tells me that I will eventually be reunited with Jesus. Romans 10:9-10 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Your testimony matters too
