Saved by Grace
God gives me His grace as a gift, I am actually not able to earn it or deserve it, because I am so imperfect and still have bad thoughts to against the perfect and justice God. However, God is merciful, He loves us but He must punish sin. God so loves the world, He gave us His only Son Jesus Christ who is fully God and fully man. Jesus Christ died on the cross for paying the debts of our sins, then resurrected from death and prepared places in Heaven. Knowing my story, knowing who Jesus Christ is, knowing God is love is not the key to have salvation. You must transfer your trust in Jesus Christ along. Trust in Jesus Christ who died for your sins and pay in full.
Before I know Jesus, I believed in the reincarnation and only good deeds can give me a better life or lead me to the paradise, but I had no assurance where I will go after death. In my life, I always been compared with others. I don't find the purpose of life and easy to anger because my unstable temper.
I had a chace to come to the US. After 5 years, my visa was almost expired, that means I should leave US and back to my home country. Suddenly, I recognized I have not gotten any achievement in the US. I am so disappointed about myself. And even so anger to my parents because they keep nagging me.
I was invited to a church and a sermon message leaded me willing to give my sovereignty to God for my uncertain future. The unexplainable peace filled my heart, and felt my burdens are released. No longer later, I'm baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ.
After received God's salvation, I still have challenges about my visa status and finance. But I have no fear, nor insecurity because I know my God will take care of me.
I met my wife and discussed about getting married but we both have visa status challenges. We lift our situations in prayer and let God in control. By the grace of God, we got our US resident card 1 year after marriage.
Live in US, we still have challenges and trials, but God is always with us. When we were with my father-in-law for his last journey in Hong Kong, I experienced the death of Christ believer is full of hope and peace because Bible says "to be absence from the body and to be present to the Lord."
