Satisfaction in Christ Alone
The story of a fearful and near-sighted boy becoming a courageous man of God, through the abundant grace of Jesus.
Before I became a Christian I was afraid no one would like me if they knew all of me, so I filled my life with performancism and cheap thrills.
I remember having shallow relationships in which I used my success with sports and women to validate myself.
Then someone shared with me that Jesus died for me at my worst, not at my best.
Now that I have eternal life, I walk with the confidence that Jesus knows me intimately, and delights in me.
When I came to Wofford, I decided to join a Fraternity in order to share my story with men like me. Despite constant peer pressure to drink and hook up with women, as I did in high school, I was able to stand firm in my faith knowing that my self worth stemmed from Jesus's love for me, and not others opinions.
In my walk with Christ, I die to myself and the lusts of this world daily, that I might live for Jesus's Glory and not my own.
