Salvation at a young age
My mother made sure that we were under the preaching of God’s word at a young age. I am thankful for the men that invested in my life through the Boys Brigade program of our church. I realized that I was a sinner and needed a Savior when I was about 8 years old. That decision to trust Jesus early in my life has gotten me through the dark times of my life and also brought me wisdom to avoid those things that could have been harmful or devastating. I am thankful for the lack of baggage that could have been part of my story and so thankful that God chose me early in my life.
I’m thankful that God forgave me and saved me at a young age and guided me through life’s ups and downs imparting an inner piece to trust in God’s plan for my life.
When I faced the low point of betrayal in my life, it was a very dark time. I had a moment that would have been easy to end it all but thanks to God’s promises in His word, some godly family and friends and flooding my mind with Christian music, God brought me through it. When it seemed like God did not hear my prayers, I knew from His word that He would never leave or forsake me. As I studied, particularly Job, God showed me through Job’s suffering how He brought him through his temporary situation drawing Job closer and restoring him. That brought me a deeper peace and understanding in my life. I am thankful that God’s love and grace pulled me through and has given me the opportunity to be of help to others facing a similar situation.
The peace that passes understanding that brought me through my situation is ongoing in my life. I know from God’s promises in His word that I will be with Him in heaven for eternity.
