Personal Testimony
Eternal life is available for those who accept it, “it is the gift of God”. “For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”. Romans 6:23
I come from a christian family, so church was my second home, and doing Christian things was so natural to me. I knew God's always with me.
But at the age of eighteen by the influence of friends and the world I walked away from God and I found myself searching for purpose in life in friends or in relationships. I became a proud person and very concerned about what people thought of me also i was living a life without purpose just for the acceptance of the others. Took about five years to realize that I was empty and everything that i tried was not sufficient to fill the emptiness of my soul. Come from a Christian home i really knew that only Jesus could fill my heart.
A friend of mine invited me to go to a prayer meeting and I accepted. When I got there I realized how much I was away from home, and how far I was from my Father in heaven. That day I gave my life to Jesus Christ and confessed that I was a sinner and invited him to be the Lord of my life. He gave me peace, joy and full conviction of eternal life, of course not because I won or deserved, but because he died on the cross for me. Since then I understood that being a Christian is more than doing something good or going to church.
