Personal Testimony
This is a short story about how God can help us weather hard times now because he gives us something bigger than our own circumstances to live for.
I'm glad I have eternal life because it gives me peace to know there is life after this one, and helps me process hard times better.
When I get stressed by life or when I'm struggling with something, I can remember that God says we can hope in him. Starting a new job a few years ago I'd just broken up with my boyfriend and didn't know anyone I was working with after graduating college. All these life changes were really hard on me but I knew that God has a plan and I can trust him to take care of me through hard circumstances. I can believe that he is working for my good and ultimately my hope isn't in the things of this life.
The hope that God gives me in sad or painful situations comforts me and helps me endure. I know that I will get to live with Jesus someday in heaven, and when that happens all the difficult things from the past will disappear. I can trust God that he loves me and is working for my good, and that someday in heaven we will be through with tears and sadness and fear.
