Personal testimony of Debbie Emmons Craig
From uncertainty, fear of the unknown, fear of our world and the things that are happening today to JOY and PEACE.
Before I received eternal life my life was filled with uncertainty, emptiness and always feeling like I was missing out on something greater.
I remember being in labor for (36) hours with my first born and being rushed into surgery and after he was delivered I was so exhausted and tired that I could not wake up good. It was very traumatic and I was scared for me and for my son. I was 21 years old at this time and the fear of death became real to me!
Soon after leaving the hospital, I remember thinking, What if I had died? Where would I go? Where would I spend eternity? I was terrified and could not wait to make my life right with GOD. My husband talked with me and listened to me pray. Pride had always played a part in why I had not done this earlier. I thought I was okay that I had made this decision as a young child, but like I said earlier I lived with uncertainty and fear.
Now that I have eternal life I have peace and no longer fear dying. My life has been totally different. Not because I always do the "right" thing, but because I have peace about where I will spend eternity. Even with all my faults, I have been forgiven.
In the midst of life's storms; my husband and I have been through a few, I have peace about where I am going after I die. I also have faith that HE is going to see me through. Life is not always a bed of roses, but it can be so much better with the JOY that this decision brings.
The life that Jesus offers last forever and I know that if I were to die today, I would have eternal life with Him.
