Peace That Passes ALL Understanding

I am gratified to know that I have eternal life and never have to walk through anything in life alone. God is always with me and the peace that brings me is priceless.

A few years ago I got a phone call that forever changed my life. My Mother was in critical condition after what we thought was a common kidney infection. Her kidneys and liver started to fail and her weak heart suffered a heart attack. I rushed my family into the car and drove for the longest ten hours of my life, from Alabama to Texas. I prayed for the Lord to give us the strength to accept whatever His will was for my beautiful Mother, and he did just that. I had a few short days by her side, before the Lord took her home to be with Him. Just as I had prayed, His peace that passes all understanding became more real to me than ever before! In the midst of the worst heartache of my life, God gave me complete peace and carried me through the storm.

I am joyful to know that one day when the Lord calls me home to be with Him, I will be reunited with my Mother in Heaven. What better end to this earthly life than to spend eternity in Heaven, with our Heavenly Father?!
