Peace that passes all understanding

I'm glad I have eternal life because it gives me inner peace and that peace is not based on circumstances in life.

Over a year ago, my husband and I asked God to give us us a child in His time. We were excited when, a few months ago, I found out I was pregnant. We went for my first ultrasound appointment when I was 12 weeks along. We had been looking forward to seeing our baby and hearing it's heart beat for the first time. Sadly, the doctor did not find a baby. There was just an empty sac. I felt so confused and sad, but through it all I never lost that inner peace that God gives. I knew that He had a plan even if I couldn't see it in that moment.

The same peace God gave me in that situation is something I experience every day of my life. I know God is always with me and one day I will be in heaven with Him because He gave me eternal life.
