Peace that doesn’t make sense
He loves me despite me
I am grateful for the grace that saved me because I now have an unexplainable peace that sustains me and brings me joy in good times and in bad. I met Jesus for the first time when I was young, and I continue to meet Him everyday still. My life is not perfect, and I have made a lot of mistakes that my Jesus has covered by dying on a cross for me before I was even born.
I remember a time in my life where I was ashamed of the salvation that makes me different because I was afraid of not being accepted. However, due to the shameless love God showed me on the cross, my differences may be used for His glory. Surrendering to His will is hard, but that was essentially what opened the conversation I had with God about why I couldn’t keep living shamefully and fearfully. Surrendering just means giving up. Giving up sounds easy, but it is insanely difficult to live a life transformed. He is still transforming me. My different is the most beautiful part about me now. I praise God because of the love He showed me before I loved Him. I am not saved because of any good or bad thing that I have done, but because of the transformative love that God willing gives me as my Heavenly Father.
While I still face the difficulties that come with living in this world, the unsurpassable peace that has been given to me through my relationship with Christ erases the fear that I was once so familiar with. It is not that I am now comfortable with my living conditions; quite the contrary. It is because I am uncomfortable with my living conditions that I so earnestly wish to share this peace with you. He loves you despite you. I want to start a conversation with you about this radical Lord of mine that wants you too.
Your testimony matters too
