Peace in the Midst of my storm
God showed me love when I didn’t love myself. He protected me and saved me! For this I give him my life!
Before I received eternal life. I made decisions that lead me to one of the worst relationships I’ve ever been in. I can remember feeling the guilt and embarrassment of walking around with bruises having to hide them from my family.
I remember I was in an abuse relationship with a man that was dealing with issues from his childhood and took things out on me. His insecurities were so bad that he couldn’t handle a woman that was confident and strong. So we fought often. Months into the relationship I became pregnant with my first child and things seemed to not be about me anymore. I prayed often and asked God for direction and strength. I can remember I was 6 months pregnant and I was home asleep. He was out with his friends drinking and hanging out. Someone mentioned me in a conversation and that upset him to the point he came home angry. We fought and I ended up with a black eye. I didn’t understand how I could be in a situation like that. I tried to be a good person but I was u able to see the light. God gave me direction and helped me to get out of that situation. I had my daughter and four months after I got a job and saved my money. With the next few months God made a way for me to find my own place, take my daughter and get out of that situation. All praises to God … I survived!!!! God has been my strength and my anchor from that point on. I’m not saying that I didn’t have hard time but God has carried me through. He’s fought for me and kept me! God is a protector and a deliver ????????
I received the gift of eternal life through the toughest time of my life.
From my expectance of the gift and the love of The Father I received peace.
Through pain I received the greatest gift of forgiveness, love and peace.
God showed me that he never puts more on me than I can bare. He also had to show me that he was always with me. Even in the midst of my storm he was there. Protecting me and keeping me!
