Peace in the Face of Death

I'm glad I know Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior because I am given peace in all situations, no matter how frightening or painful, and have assurance that I will live for eternity with God in heaven.

In 2016, my family moved from California to Florida. During that move we ventured across the country in a van and a trailer. Now, we had to cross the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, and the roads were slick at the time of our journey. We were traveling downhill, and suddenly, my father lost grip. We slid down the road, and my father couldn't fully control the car. We could have died right then and there, yet in that moment, I felt a strange peace, like, someone was holding me. I was honestly scared stiff, but I knew that if that was my death, it wasn't the end. My dad fortunately regained control of the car at the bottom of the hill, and we all made it out okay.

The same peace I experienced then, is something I still experience in stressful or hard times. This world is not the end, for I will spend eternity in heaven
