Peace in Knowing Christ
Today's world is filled with chaos, confusion, and discontent. In Christ, I find peace, comfort, and contentment that does not depend on the world's circumstances.
The greatest benefit I experience daily is peace and contentment knowing Christ is in my heart, and that the Holy Spirit is in me, is with me, and goes before me.
In 2015, while jogging my normal path and distance, I began experiencing discomfort in my chest. With my medical background, I knew this was something different. I drove to the hospital and learned I had a mild heart attack. The comfort was that when it occurred, I did not have to frantically search for God, or "hope" that I was saved. I had peace knowing if I had died that day, I would then be immediately with Christ.
I walk with this peace daily, and as I grow closer to the Lord, I have a deepening desire to continue to press in to Him and know Him more and share this peace and grace with others.
