Overcoming a Bad Start
God gives us the opportunity to overcome a bad start and to start fresh and new and to receive eternal life because of His love, grace, and mercy.
Before I received eternal life I always had a sense that something was missing and there was a purpose to life that was eluding me.
I felt a nagging sense of regret and fear that I was going to live life without ever knowing why I was created and was going to miss out on the unique plan God had for my life.
When I learned how I could receive eternal life and have a relationship with God, I made a life decision that changed me.
Now that I have eternal life I am keenly aware of God's presence in my life and His forgiveness, grace, mercy, and endless love for me.
I thought my life story would be titled "A Wasted Life". I really did. But now I know what it means to be forgiven and to receive God's grace and mercy because of Jesus and not because of anything I did to deserve it.
I am absolutely certain that when I die I will have eternal life in heaven with God because of Jesus Christ.
