Not Knowing I was Lost
I was lost and did`t know it. I had no hope and did`t know it until someone told me what Christ did for me.
Before I received eternal life, I had no idea that I was lost.
Very rarely had I gone to church and when I did I never "heard the gospel story". How can you know that you have no hope, if you do not know that Jesus paid the price to free me of my sins. I thought that I was "good enough" to make it on my own. All of this changed after a very low time in my life. My father`s pastor set me down and walked with me down the Roman Road and then led me in a sinners prayer, asking for forgiveness and from that point on, surrendering my life to God`s will and trusting in Jesus Christ as my personal savior.
I surrendered my life to Christ, asking for forgiveness of my sins. Knowing that I had eternal life through his sacrifice on the cross.
Knowing that God loves me and has a plan for my life on this earth.
With all of my heart, I want God`s direction in my life. It is a great peace to me knowing that at this time and place, I am where God wants me to be.
We don`t understand everything that happens to us. But we have to trust, knowing that God is in control and only wants the best for us.
