No Fear of Death and Dying
Thanks be to God for His goodness and grace. For His free gift of eternal life has made all things of gladness, mercy and peace!
Yes, this was me. Before I received eternal life, I was very much afraid of dying. I believe I was even more afraid of going to funerals. Before eternal life, I did not understand that there was a difference in dying and dying knowing that heaven was a place for those who had received eternal life. Because someone witnessed to me and shared the love of God, I was able to learn the grace of God and that heaven was a place for those had accepted this free gift from God. This is when I began to see life much clearer, and death and dying was nothing to be afraid of, but things still were not easy, and I strayed a time or two. I realized I had made a partial commitment to fulling living life for eternity. I learned once I fully committed to the life that was giving and ordained even before my commitment, I accepted that there was a purpose for me to live and it was and is good. I now live life fully in the grace of God through salvation that was offered to me. I've made many mistakes along the way living a life of sin, that would bring nothing but shame before God, but I now believe and know without any doubt that I am forgiven, and heaven is the place where I will spend eternity. I believe that dying physically having gained eternal life is simply a celebration looking toward what is to come. I don't believe that anyone could have helped me see life from this perspective but, God through His divine free gift of grace. One of these moments of grace in particular was a knee surgery back in June of 2009.
I remember having knew surgery some thirteen years ago. All was fine until a stich popped and I bleed out about two pints of blood from my body. What was to be an overnight stay for observation, ended up being almost a week stay in the hospital from knee surgery. I needed to have a blood transfusion and became sick and weak. I remember on the third day of my stay, my uncle came to visit me and shared (reminded me) of the gift of salvation that has already been purchased for me and extended to me at no cost. He reminded me of God's ultimate love for me, and how much has been given for me to have eternal life. He said to me, "Your healing is just a prayer away." We prayed together and read scripture sharing the Good News of the Gospel, and my strength begin to return to me, and blood count came back to normal and when the doctor came, he said it was time for me to go home. I was over joyed because I did not how this would turn out until I was reminded of the love of God, and that eternal life already belonged to me and whatever happened, because the Lord Jesus Christ is my Savior, I would be alright. Thanks be to God for His goodness and grace.

In the midst of a faulty knee surgery, I bled out and needed a blood transfusion. Even in this situation, I was overjoyed because I did not how this would turn out until I was reminded of the love of God, and that eternal life already belonged to me and whatever happened, because the Lord Jesus Christ is my Savior, I would be alright.
