Freed by God
Even though I'd been a Christian for some years, it wasn't until I was in college that I came to understand that I didn't have to meet anyone else's standards except God's standards. How freeing!
I no longer had to worry about not knowing all the social graces or not having the "right" clothes to wear. etc. God accepted me just as I was. I didn't have to please other people; I only needed to please my heavenly Father.
Have I always pleased God? No. He's forgiven me much through the years and still reminds me that I belong to Him forever.
