My ups and downs before Jesus
I went through a hard time in life.. though I knew who Jesus was and I knew his word. The problem was I really did not know him intimately. It was quite a challenge between my husband and I. Like they say it takes two to tango and if both parties are not working together one cannot do it on their own. God show me this by taking control and he put me in my place put my husband in his place we lost our house we lost our jobs I had to go on disability and he landed up having a stroke and we both went through a lot. But most of all I can thank that I can got to know Jesus I trust in him and he is my all in all without him nothing is possible. Although my husband is no longer with us here in this world he's in heaven with Jesus in Paradise I do have at least under my belt the ability to have compassion to someone having stress having marital problems financial issues nervous breakdowns issues with their children because I have been there and I have put my trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. I can be a vessel to give them that word of Jesus that he is love and compassion and all they have to do is to continue trust in the Bible because it surely blessed me.
Before I received eternal life I was a very religious Catholic person.. I grew up stressful I felt guilty. I was abused. All I knew was that I wanted to exceed in school and make sure that I made myself someone so I can leave my home and be educated enough to support myself. I went through a lot on my own. This time I devoted myself now to the life of a husband a child then I started living what we call La vida Loca and I did this for like 4 years and all I found myself was with a lot of anger I stopped I had to make hard choices in my life. There after I went back to church.
I went to a charismatic retreat and I gave myself to Christ in 2005 I was baptized at City of Life Church. Nonetheless my home was going thru a spiritual warfare with my husband and daughter &. other issues. But things happened to put things in perspective.. I became sickly my husband lost his job. We fell more behind in our mortgage pymts losing our house. Having to move to an apartment. Little did I know that God was bringing my husband closer to meet a pastor named David. He met with him Joel and Seth in Panera bread to drink coffee and study the Bible. He would come home to review what they learn downloaded a Bible course name Logos. Then we had to move about 13 miles aways he didn't want to drive that far to Catalyst but to say His motto by then was Trust in the Lord. When he got sick I knew he was at peace With God .
I'm still working on myself, Jesus fills me with a peace. I have a hunger of wanting to know more. I know I have limitations with some of my health and I put this in prayer Jesus knows where he'll take me cuz He knows I love him.
I believe everything has had to come in God's timing I wish this could've happened when my husband was alive that we could have shared this together.. I'm trying to use myself as a vessel for Jesus and that he can use me wherever he wants to put me at because I love the Lord and I see things differently now from my past life. I see people differently.
My husband & I were on the late night train it was empty. In the next stop a young man gets on the train and he wants to make some trouble. I'm telling my husband you know leave it alone don't say anything he looked like he had a knife. My husband couldn't take it no longer and said to him you have no respect the man became furious and out of nowhere these two men I just don't even know where they came out of and they just came and stood in front of my husband when the man confronted my husband to like fight him. and he told him what are you I don't know, they were sent by God because we were like nowhere near the next station was I felt that it was God's intervention. God was there and I'll stick to my guns that God was there and he send those two men as our angels.
There is no doubt in my mind that Jesus Christ is my savior and through him and him alone I found the way to the eternal life that He has promised us as long as I continue a life of God's and Jesus ways.
