My Testimony - Turning Darkness into Light

I am so thankful that I have eternal life because I am able to witness the amazing love of God forever.

Growing up I attended church regularly every Sunday with my mom and my sisters but I never fully understood what church was and the importance of going until around 9th grade of HS. In 6th grade I had stopped going to church regularly and I sunk into a state of darkness that I didn’t know how to pull myself out of. It wasn’t until 9th grade that I began to see light again when I attended my home church for the first time. Something in me just lit up and I began to radiate joy again. My love for God eventually became known to myself (it was always there I just didn’t know) and I started immersing myself in church. I got to know the Pastor and volunteered throughout church activities. I can say for certain that without finding God through my friend bringing me back to church - I would be on a very different life path. If what I went through in sixth grade taught me anything it’s that God’s timing is always perfect and his love never fails. The darkness will go away someday and when it does the light will be so bright you’ll have no choice but to share it with others.

I trust God completely and the love I have for Him is beyond anything I could have ever imagined. He never fails me and his love has gotten me through the worst year of my life. I know He will always be the one I can trust. His love, grace, and trust is what allows me to have a positive outlook on my future and my forever??
