My testimony over the years
From a cheating father and coming from an abusive home to living on the streets. Jesus can save anyone
There are no downsides to accepting Jesus as your savior ensuring eternal life in heaven
I was raised in church. I was saved and baptized at a young age. Around fifth grade my mom found a receipt for a bouqet of flowers except that they weren't for her. It turns out my dad had been cheating on my mom. They eventually divorced a few months later. My two sisters and I went to go live with our mom in a small town in north Georgia. We visited our dad on weekends per court order. My dad married and moved our stepmother in (the one he had been secretly seeing). My mom met our stepdad shortly after and we moved in with him. My stepfather continually raped one of my sisters in secret. I knew nothing of it. My mom found out one day and was livid. We stayed since we had nowhere else to go except live in a car. She died in a hydroplaning accident shortly after she found out. We went to go live with our dad where our world would get flipped completely upside down. Our stepmother was by all accounts the abusive Cinderella stepmother that nobody wishes to have. Locking us in the basement. Attempting to burn our hands on a hot stove eye. Made one of my sisters sleep outside in negative temperatures one night. My sister walked over to the only place she knew would help. The local church. One of the elders of the church found her the following morning passed out on the steps of the church going into hypothermia. Childrens Services stepped in after that incident. My siblings and I were sent to live with friends and relatives. It was at this point my dad finally came to his senses and left the evil woman he had married. She still to this day carries bitter resentment towards us kids for my dad leaving her. We have forgiven both of them. We have bonded over the years with our dad but our stepmother hasn't accepted our apologies or forgiven us. I went to go live with my aunt and uncle who were believers as well. I made some bad decisions after I graduated high school. I ended up on the streets and did a short stint in prison for those decisions. I couldn't keep a job because of this. I met some amazing people at the local homeless shelter who helped me get back on my feet. One of the local shelter residents mentioned truck driving as a career. My dad did it as a local delivery driver for the same company over a span of 30 years before he retired. It took some time to get to a point where I could get everything together but I've been going at it for 8 years now. Due to the nature of the long haul trucking industry it makes it hard to attend a local church in person so I listen to podcasts and watch live streams every chance I get
Jesus will never let you down. Jesus said I am the only way to Heaven. Nobody comes to the Father except for him. If you have doubts I encourage you to listen to the song Walking Free. It will change your perspective
