My Testimony
So Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith of as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20) With the Holy Spirit and true faith in Jesus, I know I will spend eternity with God.
I am happy that I have eternal life. Knowing that I am walking with Jesus Christ, I've found peace, love, joy and strength to carry on through this journey of life.
I was raised in a Christian family attending church religiously and being continually in the presence of people who feared God. I remember seeing and hearing family members and friends pray throughout each day, and singing, humming and listening to gospel songs all the time. They would walk around saying stuff like "Aint God good, He'll make a way, My Lord will supply All my needs, Don't worry God is always on time, Glory be to God, Praise God, Hallelujah, Thank Ya Lord Thank Ya! For years I wondered what in the world is wrong with them. Now I was the baby of the family. Everyone took care of the baby. Mom, Dad, Grannie, Aunties, Uncles, Brother, Sister Cousins and family friends all had my back. Life was good. As I grew older and had to make decisions on my own, everything was the end of the world with me. I was always worried about something, diagnosed with high blood pressure and ulcer, just a mess. One Friday while talking with a coworker (preacher's kid), he said, "You say you're a Christian, where is your faith? You know the Bible says you only have to have faith that of a mustard seed." Now this was my friend, so I thought about what was said. That evening I got my Bible out and read Matthew 17 and verse 20 really jumped out at me: "So Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." I thought, my friend is saying I don't have faith. That weekend "faith of a mustard seed" stayed on my mind (The Holy Spirit was at work). At church that Sunday my Pastor preached on "faith of a mustard seed." He broke it down telling that true faith involve surrendering to God's will. I finally understood. I couldn't solve everything myself. I have a friend in Jesus. He'll show me the way. That's what everyone was talking about; with God all things are possible, nothing is impossible with God! At that point, I sat in the pew and cried crocodile tears. Oh Holy Spirit, Thank You Jesus, Praise God, Hallelujah!
Since that Sunday, resting safely in the arms of Jesus Christ, I know I will spend eternity with God
