My Testimony
After living in fear of being truly known, the Lord revealed to me that being known and loved by Him was the greatest, most transformative gift.
Before I received eternal life, I felt invisible. At times this invisibility felt so comfortable that no one would be able to see all of my flaws, and at times it felt terribly lonely, believing that no one truly saw goodness and beauty in me either.
I became depressed in high school, but I hid it well under a veil of control and achievement.
The Lord came into my life, showing his real presence and love for me to be greater than my fear, insecurity, and sadness.
Now that I have eternal life in Christ, I know him to be the only source of true comfort, healing, and purpose.
When I went through a time of depression again in college, God was the one guiding me through the valley and reminding me of the incredible value He gives me in Christ. Even though my depression was still real, I knew then that God is with me and is faithful.
Life with the Lord is rich and full of an intimacy that I am so thankful is eternal.
