My Testimony

God is my father and my friend. I can feel him with me and have a wonderful life full of love and joy.

My marriage was coming to an end and although I had three small busy children, I could barely function. One night I was in so much pain and I didn't think I could go on. My husband had been unfaithful again, told me he never loved me, and said that he and the kids would be just fine without me. I went to the dining room grabbed my bible and prayed. I then just opened my bible to a random page and asked God for a sign. I opened my eyes and saw these words; "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." 2 Corinthians 12:9. Although I was a Jesus Girl and employed at a church I didn't really know what those words meant and how they were going to change my life. I kept reading and soon found myself feeling stronger and full of love, Gods love. He showed me my children and how much love they have for me. I went to bed and cried and asked God to help me through this difficult time. I remember the peaceful nights sleep floating on a big leaf down the river just like it was yesterday. I woke up and was new, I felt strong and less broken and started living for Him and finding joy. So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah

The love and peace that I felt all of those many years ago are still with me each and every day. I have no doubt that I will be in heaven one day and it is well with my soul. Be joyful always, pray continually and give thanks in all circumstances; that's how I try to live my life, and oh how I have been blessed.
