My Testimony

Knowing I have eternal life gives me confidence and purpose in life. God's unfailing love is with me and He will never leave me, I have a future and assurance that He is with me every day.

Knowing that God is with me and has made perfect provision for my life gave me confidence during my graduate studies. I remember studying enzymology where the content was overwhelming and complex with the added bonus of having a lecturer whose questions were technically impossible to prepare for ... they could come from anywhere. In preparing for the examination, there was a sense of fear and hopelessness among students, but I found myself at peace, having the assurance that God was with me each day and had made a way for me in all things. On the eve of writing the paper, as I sat to do some final preparations, God spoke to me and directed me many chapters ahead to a mechanism I would most certainly not have studied. I can remember wondering whether it was even relevant, but I continued to be urged to read and as I read I had the conviction that God was telling me that this mechanism would be important for the paper. I was convinced that just as with eternal life and everything that concerns me God was being gracious and making a way for me... freely giving me what I needed. I studied the mechanism and was so sure about it that I woke up very early in the morning to get to my best friend's place on campus. I told him I knew what mechanism would be on the paper and urged him to study it as well. The mechanism I had studied the night before was 80% of the paper, the question required students to describe this mechanism in detail. No matter how much I studied or tried I would not have have seen or know such a mechanism existed.

The peace and assurance I had through this experience demonstrates how God freely gives eternal life and makes a way for us in all things through Jesus Christ and how we can be assured that He is with us always. This peace, confidence and purpose I have with me every day.
